Sant Mahipati Tahrabadkar (1637-1790) was a poet and biographer of Vaishnava saints in Maharashtra, India. He was born in Tahrabad, a village near Rahuri in Ahmednagar District. His father was a Deshastha Rigvedi Vasistha Gotri Brahmin, Village Kulkarni (village accountant), and Gramajoshi (village astrologer).

Mahipati married Saraswati Bai and had two sons, Vitthal and Narayan. He took up the responsibilities of managing the Kulkarnipad and Jospan of Tahrabad, but his true calling was in the pursuit of spirituality.

Mahipati Tahrabadkar's most acclaimed literary achievement lies in his biographical writings about Warkari saints. The Warkari tradition is a prominent devotional movement in Maharashtra, emphasizing the worship of Lord Vithoba, a form of Lord Krishna. Mahipati died on Shravan Krishna Dwadashi in AD 1712 (AD 1790) at the age of 75.
